Today I am slightly disappointed and also angry as my son's new bed was due to be delivered today. When I phoned up to confirm the time I was told the details from the supplier had not been updated and though his side table to attach to the bed was due to be delivered by 6th october the bed was still down as being at supplier warehouse.
After speaking with the Customer Service Adviser for Marshall Ward for 30 Minutes She aggreed that an order placed on 30th August and already with one delay due to the supplier was less than satisfactory and she would chase this up with the supplier through the only means of contact which is an email1 Now this CSA was very clear in her information and also very helpful in explaining how she would now keep me informed.
I had received a letter on 4th September advising me the bed due on 22nd would now be delivered on 3rd October and that it was coming direct from their suppliers. With no contact from the suppliers and no update posted on the Marshall Wrad information system the CSA could only give me the information on the screen.
I am now awaiting a call back by monday to advise me of the new delivery date. I am aware a 28 day delivery quote is advertised on the Marshall Ward website and this order now falls outside of this. However, after explaining this to my son who has today off school due to a virus, has said "oh well, Can I just have my matress on the floor until it does turn up?". The base of his current bed is broken at the foot end and I think it is good for him to make his own choice about having the base unit or not. He has shown me as well that there is another way to deal/handle situations....reminded me of exactly what I said to him last saturday when we went shopping with his £9 pocket money for pokemon cards and could not find any. He could either save for next weekend, buy something else, or put the money away for something like a DSL game or toy or anthing he could think of that would be ok with him. His choice was to by 2 bionicle figures, "bad guys as haven't got any-ov-em yet!"
We always have a choice in how we 're-act' or even how we create situations or events in our lives.
